Single White Male, Seeking Perfection.
Two things occured to me tonight;
One, is that people are all seeking to become perfect. Society says that becoming perfect involves being successful, having a family, and having good morals. But if you really think about it, no man is perfect, so this is the hole that God can only fill, between flawed and perfect.
Two, Is that memories are like little fires lit along a path, from close up they seem vivid; but as you move on and build more memories, the old ones start to fade. You can revisit old memories, sometimes they're still burning brightly in your mind, other times they're dim ruined beyond any recall and other times you've squelched some out because you didnt like them. At any rate, we are all moving forwards, and you cant hold onto the past any longer, sometimes you need to let the old fires die and let new fires rise.
Oh, and as a footnote.. I got "Dance-Dance Revolution"(USA) tonight.. I still stand by my flailing dingo style... and my favorite song is still BoomBoom Dollar.

Josh, I dont like you because you're always at a loss for words, you're overbearing and incompetant, you always bring my day down because I have to fix or explain everything for you. Why dont you just read the signs? You need to back off before someone makes you.
Jeremy, I dont like you because you're a fool, you chase after love like it was an object, you go from girl to girl and you dont seem to have any mental bearing on your life, which makes you unfit to share it with anyone else.
Liz, I dont like you because you're tempermental and opinionated, you expect too much from everyone.. you act as if people deserve your attention, you're always emotionally needing, you're always underfoot, as a freind you're too inconveiniant.
Sarah, I dont like you because you're underspoken which makes you seem cowardly in conversation, your always willing to take a handout, You're always looking for approval, you're too quiet and too shy.
Ryan, I dont like you because you're always blubbering on your words, much like josh, except he knows he isnt well-spoken, you dont even realize that much. you say "say nothing and seem smart, as opposed to opening your mouth and removing all doubt".. why dont you apply that for once?

You may not be as smart as me but you certainly try harder at life than I ever bothered to, what gives me the right to critisize your efforts?.. you are an affectionately needy person.. it doesnt mean your chasing after every girl you see.. it just means you need someone to love and love you back.

In other news, I saw some guy yelling "PUT IT BACK" to the crews who where moving the ten commandments monument... and he also yelled "Get your hands off of our God!"...
Now I know theres a good chance he might've meant it figuratively, i.e. 'Get your hands off of the representation of my God, and the rights thereof'...
But he said "Off of OUR GOD"..... Umm, hello? 2nd commandment? "have no strange Gods before me, and bow to none other than me"... it seems like the protestor was more concerned with the act than the cause.
What else? Last night I had a midnight snack.. I ate two rolls, a turkey sandwich, a bagel and a bowl of chili.... I dont know why I mentioned that.
On DanceDanceRevolution...Is it too hard to ask for all of my favorites in one game? instead of me wanting to buy 2nd mix just so I can get the original version of "one-two", of which a remixed version is featured on 5th mix? How about the fact that in the entire united states and japanese market, 1st mix is the only mix to contain "Boomboom dollar" and "Butterfly".. my two favorite songs.
Now if they where on a mix together I'd just buy that, but it seems as if I need to get 1st, 4th and Max just to satisfy my optimal dancing requirements --oh, that isnt counting the two red octane V2.0 dance pads I'm going to get just to play the game properly.

Seperation of church and state
As some of you may have heard, chief justice moore of the alabama supreme court was asked to take down the monument of the ten commandments that he had set up in his court-house, all of that being said. How can you say "God bless america" and not acknowledge God as the basis of all law by displaying the ten commandments?
I'm not even going to go off on all thats wrong with the legal arguement of it, otherwise I'll be here for hours and it'll all go back to whether you choose to believe in God or not.
BUT, in the particular case being argued, the prosecution says "We must abide by 'the seperation of church and state' ".. etc etc..
But the real meaning behind the seperation of church and state is plain, It isnt "The seperation of religion and state" or "the seperation of God and state" its "The seperation of CHURCH and state"...
In fact, heres the actual text that jefferson wrote: I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof", thus building a wall of separation between Church and State.
Seperation of church and state isnt about preventing anyone in the government from including religion in their life, its about seperating the church and state bodies.
Look at the persecution that went on in europe before the first settlers left for america, all of that was caused by the absolute authority of the roman catholic state which at the time was both the church and the government.
If you look deep into the basis of our government you can clearly see that its built to be everything that the roman-catholic church/government body was at the time of the pilgrimage.
As well as the "seperation of church and state", there are some other texts that prevent the government from becoming a tyranny.

The grey area...
Yeah so here's the challenge, think about all of the times you've been indecisive. think of all of the times you put someone off and told them to wait because you where thinking.
Now think of all of the times you've been lead on, strung along, held off, told off, turned down, put up or shushed...
Now, after all of that, think of every time you've done that to anyone else.. look at the indecision from someone else's perspective..
Being apprehensive is one thing, but being indecisive is another.
Have you ever been lead on and felt like that person lied to you?
Well, from their perspective it may've been innocent, but to you it seemed evil..
This is the grey area.. where morallity is relative.. and alot of people get into it and make bad decisions.

Oh yeah.. this really annoys me, when people go off on rants and talk about grandiose things, but never explain them...
I mean, explain this statement "Never succumb to the pattern known as 'normal' "...
I have nothing against its author for saying it, but he never explained it.. he never elaborated on why being normal is a bad thing...
I'm rather taken to the idea that obedience of order and government is in fact rebellion against succumbing to a pattern known as "abnormal"...
For example.. the whole generation as we know it decides to go out and get "abnormal" and start wearing black clothes, saying whatever they want to whoever they want, and listening to punk rock... big deal... all it means is that everyone's abnormal and no ones unique.
And in fact, rebellion against the norm is so cliche compared to living a simple life with a massive outlook on the world.
What do I mean? I mean living a 'normal life' isnt so great, but living an 'abnormal life' is much worse.. I say live a normal life, but analyze everything around you.
For some living an abnormal life is fine.. some people are just made to shine, but that doesnt restrict them from realizing reality around them and doing something about it..
Where was I? ...oh yeah, anybody can say "Its better to live a life alone rather than live in groups of droning bafoons"... but why? why? why? explain it..
That statement is a hypathetical for-instance.. but why?
In fact if you're a smart person you should be living with idiots, so that you learn faster and gain more.. and give more, etc etc.
hmmm... in other news multiple personallity disorder? I might have it, but not in the sense of me waking up tomarrow thinking I'm a twelve year old girl named angie, No. Something more along the lines of a duality of mind, does that make any sense?; two seperate minds, thinking contrastly and agreeing once in a blue moon.
Now most would simply dismiss this as 'good and evil'.. 'your concience' and 'your human nature'.. but I think its something else.. maybe repressed feelings? scratch that... see, repressed emotions are only repressed by their owner, it isnt as if one day my empathy said "here you go, you cant feel any more".. Nobody can put your emotions off except for you.
So then, I can divide myself.. between the Arrogant Genius and the Tempermental Underacheiver.. well.. I cant really classify both types in two words.. they both have their moments..
So for instance.. most people know me in groups, where I'm usually the center of attention or the highest ranking, praiseworthy.. etc etc...
Thats my 'new' self.. because being at root the tempermental underacheiver I am, I dont deal well with defeat.. so I eclipse that emotion with tons of notariety and praise...
My main gift? Intellect. Soo.... I become the big boisterous genius that can tell anyone off, and always knows what he's saying.
So you see? My original temperment was never repressed by subconcious or by emotional damage, but by a concious decision to make myself the best.

In other news...
I'm doing a massive over-haul cleaning job on my room.. I disconnected my PS2, VCR, Monitor and a buncha A/V and power cables to my mini-entertainment center.. (set up on top of a bucket :D) and I have it all in boxes.. I'm probably going to move my computer too.. so I can vacuum off the area I'm going to put my new desk.. which we're going to build.. so I'm kind of apprehensive about the assembly and how its all going to work out in the end...
So what else...
I cut my ring finger bad on my pocketknife today when I was closing it... ouch... blood everywhere.. oh well.

So where am I at?
Thats the question I ask myself every so often,
Whenever life slows down long enough to permit a nice long thought;
I wonder how long it'll take before my talents really show up?
I wonder when I'll be ready to commit myself to a relationship?
I wonder if all of my work is in vain? have I been going the right way?
I wonder when it'll all pay off; Would I have to live my life out to find out if it was or wasnt worth living?
I wonder if there is some critical mass at which all of life's work will blossom into success,
Or maybe I have to build my own success, in the present working, working..
moment by moment, molocule by molocule, hour by hour, and day by day.
In either case I'm working and waiting,
Thats all my life is, Sleep and work... Religion too of course, and a good direction from the lord up above...
But, when will I feel like I've accomplished something?
I feel anxious all of the time, hoping for the future,
but I'm still unsure of which way to go.
I suppose we're all looking towards tomarrow, wondering and waiting...
Looking towards tomarrow.. with the eyes of yesterday.. hoping and praying for success..
But even with all of the work behind the cause,
You have to ask yourself.. "Do I feel lucky?"..
Even roaches can spread their wings and fly,
But if thats true, then why cant I?
I wonder how long the fight will go on,
Before I see a glimmer of hope on the horizon,
I wonder how long in life I'll press on,
Before I can spread my wings and fly,
I wonder when my fledgling wings will mature,
And I'll be able to rise above this world,
Some day.. Some day soon.
I can feel it.

[ I'm writing a quick second person story type of deal before I go to the drive in movies.. so bear with me. ]
You wake up in your bed at 3:00 in the afternoon.. your vision is hazy and even though you know that you've been sleeping a long time, you're tired.
You hear the high-pitch ring of the TV in the livingroom... An action movie? some woman just yelled and cried out.. You cant really tell.
You're stressed out because your job sucks, and you're afraid of how to deal with it,
You're stressed out because the person you love sucks and you're afraid of how to deal with them,
You're stressed out because your week sucked and you're afraid of how to deal with it in the future,
You're stressed out because your day sucked and you're afraid of how to deal with it in the future,
You're stressed out because your month sucked and you're afraid of how to deal with it in the future,
You're stressed out because your year sucked and you're afraid of how to deal with it in the future,
You're stressed out because your life sucks and you're afraid of how to deal with it,
You remember the pills you stole about a month back, 'saving for a rainy day' you remember thinking when you first stole them...
You contemplate taking those pills, and a few dozen thoughts flash through your mind-- Is today that rainy day?-- Did your mother know what she meant when she said "save for rainy days"? What is the president's role in your life and how has he effected you to pop pills?
"What?!" you think, "I'm a druggie!?"
... "When did it happen? when did it come to this?"...
Believe me.. it started when you first took those pills.. last year.. or was it the time before that when you drank enough mountain dew that your hands twitched? Or did it all start when you took some asprin when you really didnt need it?
Did it start when you first took asprin?
Did it start when you took the 'good' pills?
Or...
Did it start when you even remotely considered taking asprin for emotional pain?
Theres the meat of the matter; Asprin is only guaranteed for physical pain -- NOT emotional pain, thats why it never seemed to work.
When do you feel like quitting?
Does this mean that you should give up caffine too?
Does this mean that you should not enjoy yourself when you ride fast in your car?
Does this mean you shouldnt enjoy it when you get a kiss?
No.. those are the good things in life.. and what of the bad?
Does this mean you shouldnt enjoy it everytime you cut someone down to size?
Does this mean you shouldnt enjoy being malicous?-- wait.
