Someday...

So where am I at?
Thats the question I ask myself every so often,
Whenever life slows down long enough to permit a nice long thought;

I wonder how long it'll take before my talents really show up?
I wonder when I'll be ready to commit myself to a relationship?
I wonder if all of my work is in vain? have I been going the right way?
I wonder when it'll all pay off; Would I have to live my life out to find out if it was or wasnt worth living?

I wonder if there is some critical mass at which all of life's work will blossom into success,
Or maybe I have to build my own success, in the present working, working..
moment by moment, molocule by molocule, hour by hour, and day by day.

In either case I'm working and waiting,
Thats all my life is, Sleep and work... Religion too of course, and a good direction from the lord up above...

But, when will I feel like I've accomplished something?
I feel anxious all of the time, hoping for the future,
but I'm still unsure of which way to go.

I suppose we're all looking towards tomarrow, wondering and waiting...
Looking towards tomarrow.. with the eyes of yesterday.. hoping and praying for success..

But even with all of the work behind the cause,
You have to ask yourself.. "Do I feel lucky?"..

Even roaches can spread their wings and fly,
But if thats true, then why cant I?

I wonder how long the fight will go on,
Before I see a glimmer of hope on the horizon,
I wonder how long in life I'll press on,
Before I can spread my wings and fly,
I wonder when my fledgling wings will mature,
And I'll be able to rise above this world,

Some day.. Some day soon.

I can feel it.
