Weekend update.

Ok, so this is about 7 days after my last post, I havent posted because of numerous computer problems, and um... thats it? hah... so yeah.. thats been my week; trying to fix everything thats not-quite-right with my computer...

At any rate, its going good.. and I hope to have my computer totally destroyed in about 1 year :P

damn... these posts are really starting to suck... I mean REALLY... even the absence of posts' on rico's page is less disappointing than this garbage..

Er.. nevermind. I saw "Anger management", it wasnt as good as I thought it'd be.. somehow I cant really say I'm disappointed by sandler's expecatbly shitty performance as a raging lunatic.. which seems to be what he's been type-casted as for the past 20 years.. and they thought it'd never get old...

Other than that, I finally broke down and got Natural Selection, which, by all practical means.. is quite possibly the most flunked up game I've ever played... balance-wise..

after that.. its all the same, "not much", "How about you" type of crap.. so I'll spare you.

PS, I had to send this over to my mom's computer just to get it to post.. thats how much I care.

Alright kids, this is your Tech update...

Recently people have been getting tracked down and poked by big organizations like the RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America)...

In this post I'd like to tell people how they can keep on sharing without getting picked off for their thousand plus collections of songs.

Method #1: Filing
So if you're like me, then you've probably got about... 1,000, maybe 2,000 songs in your music directory, file-sharing programs like napster, KaZaa and BearShare can only see your "Shared Files" directory, so dont be lazy and just leave all of your files in your download directory! move them to "My music" or some other directory seperate from the "Shared folder".. this way you show up on kazaa as having 5-10 files.. but we all know where you keep them ^_~

Method 2#: Short Log-In times
Only stay logged in as long as you need to, normally KaZaa starts up when you start your computer, and if you leave it on all day with an exposed 2,000 song collection.. then I'm sure you'll get busted within hours.. but if you sign on for an hour at time when you're downloading and then file all of the songs into a seperate directory when you're done you greatly reduce the risk of being tracked.

Method 3#: Dont share!
I know its kind of a scrooge thing to do, but some programs like KaZaa and Bearshare track your out-going transfers; the more transfers you allow, the greater "participation level" you have... and I'm pretty sure that its a dead give-away when you have a participation level thats through the roof.

All of those three methods combined and you'll be file-sharing until you're the only one left ^_~
