LANius Caesar, Part III
Alright, T- 8 days, 16 hours, 5 minutes and 30 seconds until we all gather in my den of jolility and have us a good old LAN party.
We've done some planning [we, being me and I], and I came to some conclusions: The date WILL BE monday april 12th, you still need to RSVP with me if you havent. you know who you are.
Games:
Half-life;The Specialists, Counter-strike, Team Fortress and Natural Selection.
Starcraft: Broodwar
The Specialists(TS) is going to be our main staple, so these are all of the game modes I'm going to cook up..
+Pistols only 1vs1 with 'survival' ammo loadouts... when you reload once, you're out of extra ammo.
+Blades only 1vs1, probably on Dojo or Lobby, we'll match katana against katana and knife against knife, and make sure it stays that way unless some brave knifer wants to fight a katana, or some brave katana wants to go up against a throwing knife ninja.
+Kung Fu only, 1vs1, making sure that both players start with the same Health, and if one player has the Kungfu powerup, then get both it.
for all 1vs1 games, we'll have people outside the ring, and then when the a player wins, they can play on or leave the ring to get Health, but also giving up thier run. Weapon restrictions will be used to make sure that all players use specified weapons.
+Training, Probably only on ts_agility, but we'll be playing with a cease-fire, for those who need to learn basic movement.
+Last Man Standing, we'll probably play this on Half-life Death-Match(HLDM) maps, The last man standing is awarded points. We might throw in some weapon restrictions to get things rolling.
+Separate Areas, For larger maps like Lobby, that are more separated, we'll have one area dedicated to Blades, one to Kung fu and one to free-for-all weaponry, so that everyone can get a little of what they want.
+The One mode. Since TS's gametype for "the one" is totally messed up, we'll play teamed, one man VS everyone else. We'll see how long this lasts ;)
And last but not least
+Teamplay, with 2, 3 or 4 teams, Teams are specified by your Player model, and, along with the proper patches and installs for TS and HLDM, we'll have plenty of models for TS, so that everyone has an aesthetically pleasing selection of teams. Weapon restrictions may apply to teams, ie. Ninjas use Blades and Kung-fu, Agent Smith clones use Desert Eagles, Shinsengumi types use light pistols and blades.. etc.
So thats it for game modes, I hope your mouth is watering. Mine is.
p.s. I may add Homeworld to that short list of games, but that depends on if I can spawn copies of the disk I have, and if everyone's computer can support it.
