I mistook ignorance for reverence

Or would my apathy render it meaningless?

Can I become renewed in faith?
Or do I have to remake myself?

Is God reading this?

Can he see what I'm going to do next?
At the current pace, I might just live.
But I cant stand the meaninglessness of life.

I stay alive to be alive and then die someday,
And that purpose alone isnt enough to live.
I try to learn "God's way" but I stumble,
When'll he answer?

A need for faithfulness starts here,
But I've been faithless so long.

I give all I've got and I give more,
And I give when I'm hurting until I'm hurting even more,
And where's my return?

Do I have to die before all of the secrets are revealed?
Or is the answer printed on thin sheets in a black book?
