Closet space

This is where all of my lost hopes went.
This is the place that all of my dreams went to stay.
They flew off to take refuge here, In a far away place,
and now, never to be seen behind all of my technology

These are the things that made me dream dreams and reach for the very face of God,
these mere toys were the catalyst for limitless creativity.

And now, they're locked away, behind books, and clothes.

As I revisit this place, in the back of my closet,
I see all of the things that were so magical back in my younger years.

All of the things that seemed to be worth millions in my ignorance, and even now, in sentiment, have been depreciated to mere pennies. These things are useless and spent now, they are a part of the past.

And yet, they were so important to me then.

Soon they'll all be gone: I'll move them to an attic, or donate them to charity, and then this place will be filled with mature looking clothes. This is the place I'll hide my children's presents before christmas.

So, I gaze at all of these old toys, and see my past.
Because its moving out of memory and new things are moving in.
Time to fill it with what I need. What goes here?
