I heard on the news tonight that during romance men are thinking about sex, and women are thinking about emotion and the future.
It really pissed me off to hear the phrase "one track mind" and "Thats the way men are" on television.
Once again I'm disappointed in our culture, and I'll tell you why-- Men shouldn't just be sex-fiends; its pointless.
Sex is about a relationship, and even if you take that out of context, it shouldn't be blamed on your own mentallity... Sure its a natural craving and a natural function, but its the way you use it..
If a man is only sexual in his romantic relationships then thats all he'll ever be. And when the sex runs out, he'll have nothing to do with his partner.
There are plenty of instances involving passionate relationships in which romance and sex are desired by both the man and the woman involved, but I dont think it should be purely sex. Because in the morning after, are they going to be comitted to each other? or is it going to be another shallow one night stand?
Our culture is pathetic, justifying these things... not to preach, so I'll include myself when I say shame on us. Woe to mankind; here we are doing everything wrong and blaming it on upbringing and genetics.. we've gotta get down to the nitty-gritty and ask what the hell is going on?
Figure it out people, we havent much time.
