"Rejection" by Ryan Bach
"The answer is known and the pain is real
Somehow though I regret telling you how I feel
Inside I knew that you were the one,
but that's changed now; what's done is done,
I'll always feel the same about you,
I've always hoped you felt the same way too,
Finding out it was someone else instead,
Crippled me as I lay in bed,
Trying to deal with these feelings of loss,
I begin to wonder if it was worth the cost,
Of telling you my thoughts about you,
To hear that they were refused by you,
There's always another, some other guy,
chances are gone, feel like I could cry,
leaving you behind, life goes endlessly on,
Never able to catch up from what I've done,
So far behind with no hope to come back,
For you were the one who kept me on track,
I still have hopes that we could be,
But I don't know if you'll ever love me,
I've shown you what I can offer from my heart,
Showing you that I'd like to play the part,
In your life, in some way to be there,
I've shown you that I really care,
But you couldn't tell me face to face
Scared maybe; but that's besides the case,
you should've told me, I need to hear it,
These feelings you've left inside deserve it.
Being my first time,I don't know how to play this game,
But I do know I'll never be able to look at you the same.
I still care and always will,
But this rejection hurts me still.
Time to move on, time to kill the pain;
never forgotten, it will still remain.
I'll never be angry at you, only sad, for you were the only one I had within my reach or so I thought
Maybe this was never to be sought these feelings inside waiting to be mended,
...But they will heal once this story has ended."
